Dreamweaver 8 is the software used to create and maintain all IM Solutions websites.
If a client is interested in purchasing software to update or maintain their website, IM Solutions recommends Adobe products as intuitive, powerful and easy to learn. If a client wants to edit content but leave major changes to IM Solutions, it is recommended that the client purchase Adobe Contribute. If a client chooses to manage the site entirely then it is recommended that the client purchase the Dreamweaver software. IM Solutions will assist clients to login to the host server giving immediate access to source files as well as walking through the C-Panel features including email, reporting and other options.

Other packages may offer design, hosting and domain setup combined, but IM Solutions requires that clients deal directly with their host server eliminating the need for ongoing administration fees. This also ensures that clients are in full control of site files, login and password information as well as statistical, site and email options.
When choosing a host, cost is important, but it is not the only factor to consider. If you want service, consider a hosting company that answers the phone in person, asks you what your name is and what your website is about. Some companies give you a number and that is who your are. When you call, you are asked to "Please enter your customer ID..." This seems efficient, but when you are looking for services and you've lost your customer ID, you and your webmaster will spend hours trying to prove that you are the owner of your own website.
Another thing to consider is the demand that is on your potential server. If a company is offering hosting at an extremely low price, they are probably hosting thousands upon thousands of sites on their server. This problem becomes very frustration for a webmaster when uploading a file takes two hours and for a client when the invoice comes in at two hours to upload one image. Doing a Reverse IP Lookup before signing up for hosting can:
- Retrieve a list of all domains using the same IP address as you, and sharing the same resources
- Track down malicious behavior of phishing or scamming websites that reside on the same host.
- Perform research on hosting or parking companies before you decide to make a switch.
